The Los Angeles Lakers are set to host the Sacramento Kings in their upcoming fixture of the ongoing NBA 2025-26 season. The Lakers are 5th in the Western Conference with a 23-13 record. Ahead of the clash, a look at their injury update and who is playing and who is not.
BIG update on Lakers injury update ft Austin Reaves ahead of NBA game vs Kings
Austin Reaves has been listed out on Monday, January 12, against the Lakers game vs the Sacramento Kings. The player, who is averaging 26.6 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game, was diagnosed with a Grade 2 gastrocnemius strain and declared out of action for at least four weeks in late December.
Without him, the 17-time NBA champions have averaged 111.7 points per game and lack of complementary scoring around Luka Doncic and LeBron James. The Lakers welcomed Rui Hachimura on Sunday as the player was removed from the injury report.
The Japanese player, who came after missing six games in a row while recovering from a right calf strain, is imminent. The forward was a full participant in practice over the weekend; however, the plan is to take a conservative approach with Hachimura’s return.
