LeBron James to wear special-edition historic 23rd season jersey patch
According to the company’s official announcement on Monday, LeBron will wear the special commemorative patch on his jersey. This will begin from tonight when the Lakers play an away game against the Sacramento Kings.
Additionally, the company further wrote in the announcement post that some of those patches will be utilized for specified inserts. The post read:
“LeBron James will wear a special-edition 23rd season jersey patch beginning tonight in Sacramento, the city where he began his legendary career in 2003.”
It further read:
“The patches will be removed from his jersey after each game, and some will be placed into ultra-rare trading cards."
The patches will include a silhouette of LeBron doing his usual pregame chalk toss. As he is playing a legendary 23rd season, which is a record and explains his longevity in the sport, the patches will also feature his career stops with the Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Miami Heat.
