Every year, injuries are the main factor that make or break a team during the NBA playoffs. As the playoffs are ready to officially begin, there are some notable names who find themselves on the sidelines at the moment.
After a long regular season, no team find themselves with full roster at their disposal ahead of the playoffs. Here are the key players who are sidelined at the moment as the 2025 NBA postseason kick-off's.

Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks
The first name on the list is of superstar Kyrie Irving. The Dallas Mavericks are still fighting for a postseason spot, but will not have the services of their star guard. He was ruled out of the season at the end of March after suffering a torn ACL against Sacramento Kings.
Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks
Next on the list is Milwaukee Bucks' point guard Damian Lillard. He has been sidelined for weeks after a blood clot diagnosis and will miss the star of the postseason.
There is still some hope that he might return and be available for the team during the playoffs. His latest update indicates that he progressing in his rehab. It is still unclear that when will he make his comeback on the court.
Moritz Wagner, Orlando Magic
On Tuesday night, the Orlando Magic secured a spot in the NBA playoffs by defeating the Atlanta Hawks in the play-in tournament. They will now take on Boston Celtics but will be without their star player.
At the start of the year, it looked like he was having a career year. The was very efficient coming off the bench as he averaged 12.9 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting league average from beyond the arc. But, he suffered a torn ACL during a match against Miami Heat in the month of December. Due to his latest injury, he will miss the remainder of the 2025 season.
Jaden Ivey, Detroit Pistons
Another player who is in the list is Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey. He has been out of the action since January with a broken leg. But, there is hope that he will return for the postseason. Before his injury, he was averaging 18 points per game and shooting 40% from three prior to his injury.
As the Pistons prepare to go head to head against New York Knicks, it remains unclear whether he will make a return.
Jalen Suggs, Orlando Magic
The last on the list is Jalen Suggs of the Orlando Magic. He was ruled out of the season in March after undergoing surgery on his injured quad. He was drafted fifth overall by Orlando in 2021 and became a key player of the squad. His absence is a major loss for the Magic as they get ready to face the defending champs.
