According to NBA Insider Shams Charania, the latest injury to Jimmy Butler looks serious enough to rule him out of the upcoming contest. Charania shared on his X account (formerly known as Twitter) that Butler has suffered a deep glute contusion and his MRI reports suggests that there is no fracture or structural damage.

Meanwhile, this comes on the back of Butler's agent sharing a cryptic message earlier. NBA Insider Marc Spears shared on NBA Today that the Warriors agent Bernie Lee texted him saying 'Pray for the Bear'. The team is optimistic that Butler will get fully fit in time but for now, there's every chance to believe that he is going to miss the Game 3 against Houston Rockets.

If Jimmy Butler misses the upcoming Game 3 against the Rockets, then the Warriors find themselves in a spot of bother as they lack firepower on both ends of the floor. The Warriors can manage to win without Butler but then they will have to face the music of Houston Rockets' physicality. Much will depend on their superstar Stephen Curry to get them past the Rockets.
