The 23-year-old guard will be sidelined from the Saturday's regular season clash against Angel Reese and Chicago Sky. Clark has been suffering from a left quad strain which she suffered on May 25. Initially, she was ruled out for two weeks. Although, the timeline has passed as Clark still isn't fully fit.
Due to her absence, she will be missing her fourth game on the trot due to the same injury. However, there are reports that her return is nearing as another evaluation would be done over the weekend.
While speaking to the media recently, Clark expressed hope that he might return to the court against Atlanta Dream. Still, she wasn't guaranteeing anything as it all depends in the coming days, how her recovery goes.
I'll miss this weekend's game, but after that, it's day-by-day, and see how I feel and just turn to the medical staff and what they think, Clark told reporters. But I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress, and I feel good. I’m not going to rush back if it’s not worth it. But after this weekend I’ll be reevaluated and we’ll have a better idea of when I’m returning.
Caitlin Clark played against the Chicago Sky in their season opener on May 17. The star delivered a strong performance and led her team to a 93-58 victory. In that game, Clark notched up triple-double, had 20 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and four blocks, shooting 6 of 13, including 4 of 8 from the 3-point range.
