On Tuesday, Luka Doncic came in front of the Dallas Mavericks as an LA Lakers player for the first time since the sensational trade that took place earlier this month. Doncic showcased brilliance at the Crypto.com arena and in the process contributed to the Lakers' eventual win over the Mavs. The Slovenian raked in a triple-double- 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists- against his former side.

Much has been revealed and said about Luka Doncic following his departure from the Dallas Mavericks. Some astonishing claims have emerged in the process, which have highlighted his weight and frailties in defense as the reason behind his eventual Mavericks exit. In line with the same, a fresh report has dropped by the Mavericks, which puts light on Doncic's lifestyle and showcases a bold prediction.
“The people who witnessed Dončić’s last days in Dallas do not paint a flattering portrait of the 25-year-old’s professionalism. They call him lazy. They talk about the weight issues that were such a frequent frustration within their walls,” The Athletic reported the morning after Doncic took on the Mavs as a member of the Lakers for the first time.
“They mention the social habits — such as a taste for beer and hookah — which have been a point of concern for NBA types since he was a 19-year-old star for Real Madrid who was entering the NBA Draft. They predict his basketball demise, highlighting a health history that, as some see it, will likely lead to catastrophe in the next five years or so.”
While the flow of assertions related to the reasons which triggered Nico Harrison to sign the deal with LA Lakers may continue to arrive, it does not change the fact that Luka Doncic is a generational talent and the Mavs have taken a big haunch by sending their star player to the Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis. So far the trade hasn't fared well for the Mavericks as Davis has remained sidelined due to an injury, and on the other end, Doncic has found his footing in the golden and purple outfit and now looks to shine in every game.
