The departure of Stephen Curry, owing to a hamstring injury, has already weakened the Golden State Warriors by a heavy proportion, and they could face another big setback in the form of Jimmy Butler. The star forward suffered an injury during the first-round playoff clash against the Houston Rockets. He had a massive fall during a game, and the pain is still bugging him.

Golden State Warriors Struck by Injuries
The Golden State Warriors had an ideal start in the Round 2 playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, clinching the first game by a bare margin to take a 1-0 lead. However, Curry unfortunately sustained a hamstring injury in the same game, which has sidelined him for at least three games.
In the absence of Curry, Jimmy Butler was expected to take up the onus and keep the Warriors in the competitive scene in Game 2 against the Timberwolves, but the reality turned out to be grave as the Warriors were struck by an overwhelming 24-point loss. It will take some effort for the Warriors to bounce back from that, and Jimmy Butler will again be expected to lead the stand. However, as per a revelation made by him, he may not be functioning at 100% capacity.

Jimmy Butler Provides Update on His Injury
Following the Game 2 loss to Minnesota, Butler spoke out honestly with a short message about his injury status. He was asked if he's still in pain from the injury that he suffered.
"Yeah, for sure, but believe it or not, dominoes, coffee, and kids make it all better," Butler said.
Needless to point out that it is concerning for the Warriors as their Talisman is already out. To stay in the series against the Timberwolves, Golden State badly needs Butler to step up with some big-time performances.
