The son of LA Lakers superstar LeBron James, Bronny James has had a tough start to his National Basketball Association (NBA) career and has been at the receiving end. But, he found himself a supporter in the form of three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade, who seems to encourage the first year guard.

What did Dwyane Wade say for Bronny James?

In his first season in the NBA, Lakers Bronny James had his first scoring output on Thursday, January 30 against the Washington Wizards. Bronny managed to score five points and had two rebounds, two assists and a steal to his name.

As Bronny's performance was far from being the best, Wade took it in a positive way. He went on to Instagram to post an encouragement message for Bronny.

Keep playing the game you love young man, and enjoy putting in the work @bronny, Wade wrote.

Wade even shared a reel on his Instagram story which was later re-posted by the LA Lakers. It featured Bronny James who attacked the hoops against the Wizards big man Tristan Vukcevic. Bronny found little space to attack the hoop and elevated for a lay-up despite the 6-foot-10 Vukcevic's presence. Bronny's daring attempt paid off as he made the basket and fouled for the and-1.

LeBron James registered 24 points and 11 assists, while Rui Hachimura added 22. Jaxson Hayes also pitched in with a double-double with 10 points. Austin Reaves and Max Christie also chipped in with 17 and 13 points.

Shake Milton (21) and rookie Dalton Knecht (10) also scored while coming off the bench. Christian Koloko, Jarred Vanderbilt and Trey Jamison III each scored four points as the Lakers were able to beat the Wizards (134-96).

Bronny James has scored in two other games for LA Lakers

Bronny has seen himself playing for both Laker's main roster and their G-League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. This season, Bronny featured in 14 games on the main roster but only managed to score in three of them. Keeping aside his five-point outing against the Wizards, he has only scored twice in the other games.

The first time he scored in the NBA was in his second game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 30, 2024. In that game, he scored two points, had two assists and had one steal to his name.

The second time Bronny saw himself on the board was against the Memphis Grizzlies on November 6, 2024. In that game, Bronny managed to score two points. Other than that, he has gone pointless in his other 10 outings.
