Attorneys representing NBA superstar LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, have firmly denied all allegations made in a lawsuit filed in October 2023. The lawsuit, brought by April Almanza Lopez and Kiara Rae McGillen, claims that LeBron and Bronny were involved in a car crash outside Los Angeles in November 2022, resulting in injuries and vehicle damage.

The Allegations and Denials
The plaintiffs, Lopez and McGillen, allege that the crash occurred on a highway in Littlerock, California, and caused them undisclosed injuries requiring ongoing treatment. They also claim their vehicle was damaged and depreciated as a result of the incident. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages to be determined at trial.

In a filing submitted to the Los Angeles County Superior Court on February 20, attorneys for LeBron and Bronny James denied “each and every allegation contained in the complaint.” They further stated that the plaintiffs “have been damaged in the sum or sums alleged, or any other sum or sums, or at all.”

The filing also outlined 14 defenses against the claims. One key defense argued that if Lopez and McGillen suffered any injuries or vehicle damage, those damages were caused “by persons other than these answering defendants.”

Request for Dismissal and Costs
LeBron and Bronny’s legal team has asked the court to rule in their favor, including awarding them costs incurred due to the lawsuit. This move signals their confidence in disproving the allegations and clearing their names.

Law Enforcement’s Response
When contacted by media both the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and the California Highway Patrol confirmed they have no records or reports of the alleged crash. This lack of official documentation raises questions about the validity of the plaintiffs’ claims.

No Immediate Comments from Attorneys
Attorneys representing both parties have not yet responded to requests for comment, leaving the public to rely on the court filings for information.
As the legal battle unfolds, LeBron and Bronny James remain steadfast in their denial of the allegations. The case highlights the challenges public figures face in defending themselves against lawsuits, even when evidence appears lacking. For now, the James family awaits the court’s decision as they continue to focus on their careers and personal lives.
