The 26-year-old point guard was not up to his usual best during Game 3 as he struggled with stomach issues that disrupted his sleep and further left him drained before the tip-off. Despite not being at his best, the Lakers choose to give him a run. It was a gamble that the Lakers thought could pay off but it back fired.
The Slovenian star was far from his best as he committed several momentum shifting mistakes. Not just this, he was out from the start of the second half but eventually returned back on the court. He finished that game with 17 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal and one block, while shooting 6 of 16 from the floor, including 2 of 8 from beyond the arc. He even featured for 40 minutes on the court.
The Lakers are eyeing to win the Game 4 as the franchise is prepared to give Doncic another chance. He is no longer on the team's injury report and will be taking part in Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
He will be joined by LeBron James, who is also not on the team's injury report. He will lead the charge and carry his team as he did in the previous game. The seven game series is currently led by Timberwolves 2-1 and Lakers would hope to level the series going in the Game 4.
