Kevin Durant delivered a pointed verbal jab and a slick crossover that left Dillon Brooks on the floor Tuesday night, helping spark the Houston Rockets' comeback in a 119-105 victory over the Phoenix Suns. The Future Hall of Famer returned to Phoenix for the first time since the blockbuster offseason trade that sent him from the Suns to his current franchise.

During the second quarter, as the Suns held an 11-point lead, Brooks, known for his physical defense, engaged Durant in trash talk. The four-time Olympic gold medallist fired back with the line and said:

“My worst season is better than your best.”

The player then immediately crossed up Brooks on the next possession. The move sent the defender stumbling to his knees as Durant drilled a mid-range jumper. The play highlighted Durant's enduring elite skill at age 37 and helped fuel Houston's rally for its seventh straight win.

Meanwhile, the former Brooklyn Nets star finished with 24 points, four rebounds, and three assists, including five three-pointers to power the Rockets from a 21-point deficit to secure the win.

Postgame, he downplayed Brooks' impact, saying he doesn't give opponents like him credit for motivation and wasn't thinking about the exchange while playing. Meanwhile, the Suns dropped the game at home.
