Nico Harrison’s sudden firing following the Dallas Mavericks' struggling form has taken over the internet. The former general manager of the franchise was already under fire after the Luka Doncic trade mid-season. Meanwhile, the Slovenian was asked if he would ever return to his former club after Harrison was fired. The Lakers star had a curious answer.
Luka Doncic reveals if he will return to Mavericks after Nico Harrison's firing
During a recent post-game press conference, Doncic stated that the city and the Dallas fans will always have a place in his heart, but he would rather contribute to helping his current team. The 26-year-old said:
“The city of Dallas, the fans, and the players will always have a special place in my heart.”
The point guard further said:
“I thought I was going to stay there forever, but I didn’t. … Right now I’m focused on the Lakers.”
When asked if the firing of Harrison has led to a possibility of his potential return to the club, the player replied:
"Right now I’m just focused on the Lakers,” Doncic said. “No further comments.”

Doncic’s trade to the Lakers shocked the whole basketball community. The mid-season trade of one of your best players is something no one imagined.
