According to ESPN, the Miami Heat forward will not be playing against Rockets due to an ankle injury. Wiggins has missed the last two games because of a left calf contusion which he suffered in a 125-91 loss against Memphis Grizzlies. 

According to Ira Winderman, the 2015 Rookie of the Year has been dealing with an ankle injury that has kept him out for five games since February 28. Andrew Wiggins was part of the blockbuster Jimmy Butler trade that sent six-time All-Star to Bay Area in return for Wiggins, Kyle Anderson and a first-round pick in the 2025 draft. 

Wiggins has been averaging 17.7 points, 4.45 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game on 43.9% shooting this season. He has performed consistently when he's fully fit but his health has kept him back from performing for his new franchise. 

The Miami Heat are desperate for a win as they are on a nine-game losing streak and the latest was against Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. Alongside Wiggins, Nikola Jovic and Dru Smith are listed out from the match against Rockets.

Andrew Wiggins has always performed against thee Rockets and he will be hugely missed by the Heat. The 2022 All-Star has played against the Rockets 33 times in his career and he averages 14.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the last five games he has played against them.

His highest scoring match against the Rockets came on December 5, 2024, where he registered 23 points, nine rebounds and two assists in Warriors win over the Dubs (99-93).
