The NBA has released the schedule for the opening night of the upcoming season, and fans wouldn't want to miss it. The league is set to tip off the 2026-27 season with a high-profile tripleheader on Tuesday, October 20, and the fixtures feature some star-studded players.

The league unveiled the opening-night slate featuring three marquee matchups. In the early game, Jayson Tatum, Paul George and the Boston Celtics will visit Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons, last season’s top seed in the Eastern Conference.

Later, LeBron James and Jaylen Brown make their Philadelphia 76ers debuts against Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on the night the Knicks raise their championship banner.

The nightcap pits Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals.
