The Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors just are not going away anytime soon. In fact, every time the Milwaukee Bucks lose, the rumors get even louder. And it seems like the Greek star might have already played his last game, at least, this is what an NBA insider has predicted.
NBA Insider predicts Giannis Antetokounmpo has already played his last game with Milwaukee Bucks
According to Marc Spears, Antetokounmpo has already played his final game with the Bucks. The ESPN journalist, on NBA Today, said:
"I think he's played his last game in a Bucks uniform.”
Spears continued:
"I mean, cause there's so much benefit for him not playing.”
Further, fueling his trade rumors and the potential team where he should land up, Spears said:
“One, you could make a trade for him now with Atlanta and get that generational piece, the No. 1 pick or No. 2 pick.”
The NBA Insider added:
“If you play him, and you win, that just pushes that potential pick back further."
It is unclear whether the Bucks plan to keep Antetokounmpo or to trade the guard over the deadline or in the summer. The severity of the two-time MVP's latest injury could play a factor in his potential trade timeline.
The 31-year-old has no timetable to make his return to the court as he recovers from claf injury. The NBA superstar last played on Friday, January 23, during his side’s 100-102 loss against the Denver Nuggets. The player was also ruled out for eight games in December following a right calf strain.
