Nikola Jokic is listed in the injury report released by the Nuggets ahead of the game against the Bulls. He is marked as "out" due to an ankle injury. Therefore, the Nuggets will have to go and fight without their talisman one more time. The Nuggets' head coach Michael Malone had hinted about the unavailability of Jokic much prior and also provided an update about when he can indeed return to the floor.
"He's going to play in Denver, the five-game homestand," Malone said. "He'll play at some point, hopefully in that five-game homestand. Obviously, he's not playing [Sunday]. I don't think he'll play [Monday]. We're just trying to get home and kind of see where he's at."
The Denver Nuggets' homestand includes games against the Bulls (Monday), Milwaukee Bucks (Wednesday), Utah Jazz (Friday), and back-to-back contests against the Minnesota Timberwolves and San Antonio Spurs next week.
