Stephen Curry will not be on the court when the Golden State Warriors play against the Boston Celtics as the NBA 2026-27 season resumes. The Warriors have been without their superstar guard ever since his exit in the All-Star game.
Why is Steph Curry not playing Warriors NBA game vs Celtics?
Curry is injured and is out agaonst Warriors game against Celtics. The 37-year-old has been ruled out due to a knee injury, which kept the player out of thr All Star break. The Warriors guard is expected to return to practice soon, but will be a key absence when Steve Kerr’s side takes on the 18-time NBA Champions.
Ahead of the break, coach Kerr stated he was hopeful that the swelling and pain in Curry's right knee would calm. Hne firyher stated that he'd perhaps get clearance for Thursday night. However, when the American basketball player returned to thefacility Wednesday night, he told the training staff his "runner's knee" didn't feel quite ready to participate in a live scrimmage.
Meanwhile, high-profile addition Kristaps Porzingis is expected to make his team debut but is officially listed as questionable. However, as per what was told to the reporters, he is "ready to go." The Warriors are currently 29-26 and stand 8th in the Western Conference.
