Chicago Sky coach Tyler Marsh has provided with latest health update on Angel Reese after she missed the Thursday's loss against the Seattle Storm. She was listed as questionable due to back injury, but before the tip-off, she was eventually ruled out. This was her second game that she missed in this year's WNBA campaign.

Tyler Marsh offers injury update on Angel Reese

Marsh revealed many details about the issue, saying (via WNBA reporter Kari Bell):

Angel is day-to-day. Pretty sore this morning and didn't want to mess with it being a back issue. We'll see how she is on Sunday.

The Chicago Sky will be going up against Indiana Fever at home on Sunday. The Fever would be without their superstar, Caitlin Clark as she is suffering from a groin injury. There is no exact timeline for her return. The Sky are yet to win an encounter in two outings against the Fever, tallying a combined losing margin of 62 points, failing to score 60 or more on both occasions.

Angel Reese had struggled in both those games. However, her performances have notched up in the past couple of weeks and her availability for Sunday would be crucial.

Chicago Sky suffer another blow in Angel Reese's absence

The Chicago Sky have lost by a mammoth combined margin of 76 points in Angel Reese's absence this season. The Atlanta Dream beat them 86-49 when Reese sat out first game in 2025 on July 16 because of a leg injury.

On Thursday, the Chicago Sky again lost out to Seattle Storm (95-57). They were also without the services of Ariel Atkins, so they had many problems offensively. Kamilla Cardoso recorded 13 points and 11 rebounds on 5 of 8 shots, while Elizabeth Williams scored 11 points on 5 of 8 shots. No other player shot 50.0% or better.

Chicago were lacking players on the court when they were facing a veteran Seattle Storm side. The guard play has been a problem all long, and it has only gone down after veteran Courtney Vandersloot got sidelined due to an ACL injury.

So, all the offensive load has come on Angel Reese's shoulder for production and Tyler Marsh continues to show her skills as a point forward.
