The 21-year-old was ruled out of the Spurs game against the Sacramento Kings after being held questionable early Sunday following left calf tightness.

According to a report by ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Spurs center underwent an MRI on Sunday and will be sidelined for a few weeks due to a left calf strain. According to a source who spoke with ESPN, Wembanyama will be reevaluated in two to three weeks. According to the team update, they will provide updates “as appropriate.”
Wembanyama’s latest game was against the Warriors, where he recorded a team-high 26 points alongside 12 rebounds, four assists, and 3 blocks. The Frenchman has been averaging 26.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 3.6 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game to help the side with their stunning record this regular season.
The Spurs are 9-4 now and stand 5th in the Western Conference. They will next face the Memphis Grizzlies at the Frost Bank Center, San Antonio, who are in struggling form with a 4-10 record. In their latest game, they won 123-110 against the Kings.
