Wendell Andre Carter Jr, popularly known as just Wendell Carter Jr, is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Orlando Magic. The NBA forward attended Duke University as a Blue Devil during his college basketball career.
The 6-10 ft tall player, during is high school career, attended Pace Academy and is an Atlanta native. He has recorded as one of the great rookie seasons by a big man in Duke history. He finished second all-time among Duke freshmen in rebounds (335), blocked shots (76), and double-doubles (16).
Carter Jr has also played for the Chicago Bulls and was selected as the seventh overall pick by the franchise in 2018. He made his NBA debut on October 18 and recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.
Carter Jr was traded to the Orlando Magic in 2021 alongside Otto Porter. He was exchanged with Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu as the franchise received two first-round draft picks.
