Story Highlights:

Wembanyama says he is “ready to go” after missing 12 games with a calf strain, though he will be on a minutes restriction.

San Antonio could field a fully healthy roster for the first time this season in the high-stakes semifinal.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is likely to make his return in the NBA Cup semifinal against the OKC Thunder on Saturday. The French player was placed as "probable" on the team's injury report following the practice on Friday.

Encouraging update on Victor Wembanyama

Wembanyama's return could not have come at a better time, as the Spurs are against the defending champions, who have lost just one game all season. San Antonio's defensive star is ready for the blockbuster clash and confirmed his availability for the semifinal. However, the Spurs' poster boy will be one minutes restrictions.

"I'm feeling great. I'm ready to go," Wembanyama told reporters on Friday.

The seven-foot-four center missed the last 12 games because of left calf strain. In his absence, the Spurs performed really well, winning nine games and rising to fifth place in the West with a 17-7 record. Also, if Wembanyama is approved to play on Saturday, the Spurs will have a fully healthy roster for the first time this season.

Meanwhile, the Spurs will be missing their two-way players Harrison Ingram, Riley Minix and David Jones Garcia. All three of them are with the G League team, the Austin Spurs.
