Flop batting show from Afghanistan
Mohammed Siraj quickly removed opener Abdul Malik, who scored just eight runs after playing 40 runs. However, Sediqullah Atal tried to stop the batting collapse, with his rusty 42 off 80, hitting five boundaries and one six. From the other end, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was rotating the strike well, as he scored 24 off 24 before falling to Kuldeep Yadav.

Captain Hasmatullah Shahidi could not restrict the Indian bowlers, as he got out on a cheap score of 5 off 10 off Sundar's bowling. After Shahidi's dismissal, it was a one-sided affair for the Indian bowlers, as Kuldeep also bagged three wickets, removing Gurbaz, Nangeyalia Kharote and Mohammed Saleem.
Afghanistan's spinner Sharafuddin Ashraf did not come out to bat as he endured a hamstring injury while batting in the first innings.
Stunning bowling performance from India
Debutant Manav Suthar finished his first game on a high note, as he clinched a six-wicket haul in the first innings by giving just 33 runs and picked up one wicket in the second innings. Although the second innings truly belonged to Washington Sundar, as he managed to take four key wickets of the likes of opener Sediqullah Atal, Rahmat Shah, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai.
Kuldeep Yadav also provided a great support with picking three wickets from the other end, as he finished the game with figures of 3/30 in 7.5 overs.
