Cricket Australia (CA have announced the squad for the second Ashes Test, which will take place from December 4-8 at the iconic Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. Skipper Pat Cummins and veteran speedster Josh Hazlewood are set to miss the pink-ball Test as well against England, as Steve Smith will lead the side.
Will Khwaja feature in the second Test?
Australia named an unchanged squad second Test at the Gabba with the inclusion of veteran opener Usman Khawaja, despite being unable to bat in the second innings of the first Test. The opener will need to prove his fitness when the squad assembles in Brisbane.
When Cummins join the Australia squad
Cricket Australia further stated that Cummins is in the final stages of his recovery from lumbar back stress and will again travel with the squad to Brisbane. There are chance that Cummins will feature in the third Test which will start from December 17 in Adelaide.
