India recorded a 7-wicket victory over Pakistan in Asia Cup

Former India cricketer Atul Wassan ripped apart the Pakistan team over the 'handshake controversy' which has certainly become the main talking point of the match betweeen the two rivals in Asia Cup. It all began with India captain Suryakumar Yadav not shaking hands with Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha. Things only got more controversial after the Indian batters walked off the field without shaking hands with any Pakistan players following their 7-wicket victory.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a big deal out of the Indian players' actions and decided to lodge a formal complaint against match referee Andy Pycroft to the ICC. They alleged that it was Pycroft, who asked Agha not to shake hands with Suryakumar and asked for him to be sacked from Asia Cup.

Wassan was critical of Pakistan for trying to insist India to shake hands with them. He also reacted to the complaint that the Men in Green lodged against Pycroft and labelled them as 'immature' and 'juvenile'.

"They have become so shameless that they want to force us into shaking hands. What kind of mentality do they have? Everyone came to know that you had been insulted. If we are not willing to meet you, then why are you insisting?" Wassan told ANI.

"They insulted themselves more after filing the complaint. The complaint shows how immature and juvenile they are. Our message was clear that we played for the ecosystem, but not to expect anything more from us because we don't like you at all," he added.
