Pakistan have made wholesale changes to their current Test squad on England tour.

7 players including senior players Rizwan, Imam and Agha are headed home.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on August 31 announced a revamped Test squad for the third and final Test of the series against England. Pakistan have released as many as seven players from the Test squad following the Lord's defeat. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, opener Imam-ul-Haq, vice-captain Salman Agha, left-arm spinner Ali Usman, pace-bowling all-rounder Aamer Jamal, batter Awais Zafar and pacer Khurram Shahzad will fly back home.

In addition to seven players, PCB has also released head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and bowling coach Umar Gul. White-ball head coach Mike Hesson and Ashley Noffke will take over the red-ball setup ahead of the third Test which is scheduled to commence on September 9 at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

Pakistan have recalled Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal. Ayub is currently playing in Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 for Jamaica Kingsmen. Fazal was on the tour of West Indies but an injury ruled him out of the Caribbean tour and the England Test series as well.

Five uncapped players have been called up for the third Test. Arafat Minhas, Mohammad Imran Jnr, Saad Baig, Mohammad Imran Randhawa and Razaullah have received their maiden Test call-ups.
