The Asia Cup is all set to kick off on Saturday, August 27, with the hosts Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in the opening fixture. The third team in Group B is Bangladesh, who will be hoping to overcome their latest dip in form and display a similar tenacity to their 2018 campaign when they reached the final of the Asia Cup.

 

Bangladesh have struggled in the shortest format of the game since the T20 World Cup. They will be eyeing a chance to correct their issues under the able leadership of Shakib Al Hasan. Meanwhile, Sridharan Sriram has been brought in as technical director ahead of the T20 World Cup to plug the gaps in the set-up.
