Williamson missed T20Is vs Australia

Williamson took paternity leave, causing him to miss New Zealand's recent T20I series against Australia. However, he displayed excellent form during the two-Test series against South Africa, leading the Black Caps to their first Test series win against the Proteas. Throughout the tour, Williamson notched up his 30th, 31st, and 32nd Test centuries, elevating him to the eleventh spot in all-time Test centuries. He now trails England's Alastair Cook by just one century, positioning him to tie for tenth place.

Before Williamson's impressive Test career, Martin Crowe held the record for the most centuries by a New Zealander at that level, totaling 17 in 77 matches. With Williamson having played 98 Tests so far, there's a possibility for him to double that count by the conclusion of his career.

Following his absence from the T20I series, which Australia dominated with a 3-0 victory, Williamson was selected for the New Zealand squad in the two-match Test series against Australia.

Williamson will be part of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024

Kane Williamson is set to join the Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2024, marking his return to the team after his previous stint was cut short due to a knee injury in 2023. His leadership experience will be valuable to the team, especially to Shubman Gill, who now leads the side following Hardik Pandya's trade to the Mumbai Indians (MI).

It's worth noting that the announcement of Williamson welcoming his second baby girl comes shortly after Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli celebrated the birth of their baby boy, Akaay.
