Former India captain Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant who were featured in the first Test match against Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium were spotted at Chennai airport after India crushed down Bangladesh by 280 runs. Before this Test series, Virat Kohli was on a break and spending quality time with his family in London and on the other hand, Rishabh Pant who made his comeback in Test cricket was representing India B in Duleep Trophy 2024. Pant played the first domestic red ball series after recovering from a near-fatal accident, scoring (7) and (61) runs. 

 

A video is going viral on social media where Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli can be seen at Chennai airport after India's win. However, nobody knew where they were going. Here is the clip. 

 

Rishabh Pant's performance in 1st Test match vs Bangladesh

 

Rishabh Pant made a memorable comeback in the 1st Test match against Bangladesh, the wicketkeeper batter scored (39) and (109) respectively which helped India to take the lead of 514 runs after the second innings. Pant was seen playing calculated strokes during the second innings.

Virat Kohli's outing in 1st Test match against Bangladesh

 

India star batter Virat Kohli failed to perform in the first Test match against Bangladesh as he just scored (6) and (17) runs respectively. In the first innings the former India captain departed when he tried for a cover drive on a ball pitching outside the off stump and in the second innings, he got unlucky as the umpire gave LBW and later the replay showed that there was bat involved. 

 

India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test

 

Bangladesh will play two Test matches against India and the second Test match will take place at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have already announced the same squad for the second Test match.
