Harshit Rana drops Mohammad Rizwan's catch off Hardik Pandya's over, but Axar Patel hunts down Pakistan captain on next ball during IND vs PAK clash

The Pakistan captain was about to get his half-century in the Champions Trophy 2025 clash against Indian cricket team, which is currently taking place at Dubai International Stadium after Saud Shakeel hammered a vital fifty against the arch-rivals as well. However, Axar Patel took his wicket and ended his knock at 46 runs. Later, Hardik Pandya dismissed another set batter Saud Shakeel's innings just moments after the Pakistan captain was removed.

Earlier, Pakistan lost two early wickets in Dubai after getting off to a good start. Imam ul Haq got run out after scoring 10, and before him, Babar was dismissed for 23. Imma played toward mid-on and then went for the run. The ball was swiftly picked up by Axar Patel, who threw it directly at the stumps. After the second wicket fell, Mohammad Rizwan joined Saud Shakeel. Pakistan might most likely be eliminated from the 2025 Champions Trophy if they lose here.

However, after their departure, Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel steadied the ship by joining a crucial partnership. Shakeel even smashed a fifty and Both of them joined a 104-run partnership and revived their innings.

At the time of writing, Pakistan is 177/5 by 39 overs and will be eyeing to post a respectable total on board so they can put a fight against the Indian team's deep batting line-up. India is coming into this match with a win over Bangladesh but on the other hand, Pakistan faced a loss at the hands of New Zealand which makes this match a must-win for them.
