Mitchell Starc claimed the fastest five-wicket haul in Test cricket history.

Starc became the fourth Australian to complete 400 Test wickets.

Hours after the nail-biting Lord's encounter between India and England, Australia scripted history at Sabina Park as they skittled out hosts West Indies for 27. The Roston Chase-led side recorded the second lowest Test score in the format's history. Mitchell Starc grabbed a six-wicket haul and became the fastest in history of Test cricket to complete a fifer. Then Scott Boland wreaked havoc as he bagged his maiden Test hat-trick. He is the 10th Australian to achieve the feat. The epic batting collapse led to West Indies losing the pink-ball Test by a huge margin of 176 runs as Pat Cummins-led Australia completed a 3-0 whitewash on Caribbean soil.ย

Australia's innings wrapped up early

On Day 3, it did not take West Indies pacers much time to wrap up Australia's second innings. Cameron Green got bowled on the first ball of the day by Shamar Joseph. He scored 42 runs from 66 balls. Alzarri Joseph got into the act with skipper Cummins' wicket. Shamar and Alzarri got rid of the tailenders, bowling out the visitors for 121.

Starc's spell from hellย

Starc got the ball in hand and he got the wicket of John Campbell's wicket first ball. In the ssame over, he trapped Kevlon Anderson in front of the stumps with a full delivery. With the last ball of his first over, Starc got an inside edge off Brandon King's bat that crashed into the stumps. West Indies lost three wickets without a run on the board in the run chase of 204.

But Starc wasn't done yet. On the third ball of his third over, he got Shai Hope out lbw. West Indies lost half their side for just seven runs. Also, Starc completed a fifer in just 15 balls. He became the fastest to a five-wicket haul from the start of an innings.ย

Hazlewood joined the party in the sixth over. Chase got out caught behind for an 11-ball duck. Starc would have got Alzarri out but his catch was dropped by Sam Konstas at third slip who dived but could not hold on.ย

Boland takes hat-trick, West Indies bowled out for 27

After the first session, West Indies were 22/6. Boland was introduced into the attack. In his second over, Boland dismissed Justin Greaves, Shamar and Jomel Warrican off consecutive balls to take his maiden hat-trick. West Indies escaped registering the lowest total as Konstas misfield led to a single. On the third ball, Starc wrapped up the innings by knocking over Jayden Seales.

West Indies' 27 all out is their lowest score in Test cricket. New Zealand still hold the record of lowest score with 26 all out against England in 1955.ย

With their third win of the current World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, Australia take a huge lead over others as they have completed three consecutive wins.
