'It’s the shots that usually get him out...': Yograj Singh gives massive advice to struggling Virat Kohli ahead of Champions Trophy

Former India cricketer Yograj Singh suggests Virat Kohli to spend more time at the crease to get his mojo back before the Champions Trophy 2025.

Yuvraj Singh's father and former India cricketer Yograj Singh advised modern-day great Virat Kohli to spend more time at the crease to regain his form before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19. Team India are currently featuring in the three-match ODI series against England where Kohli who missed the first match due to a knee injury, failed to perform in the second ODI. The 36-year-old got out after scoring just five runs at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. 

Yograj posted a video on his YouTube where he was talking about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He was happy with Rohit's knock and urged cricket fans across the country to support him during the tough time.

“I believe it’s the shots that usually get him out. Virat Kohli has been playing the cover drive brilliantly, but it’s not working for him currently; his coach might know better. If he plays 2,000 to 3,000 balls, he’ll be back to his old self. He should spend more time at the crease than he is currently. If any player is struggling with form or not feeling well, they should spend time with their teammates and talk to them.” he said.

Team India are currently preparing for the third ODI against England which will take place at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After finishing the white ball series against England, Rohit Sharma-led India will travel to Dubai for the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to start from February 19. Team India will travel to Dubai on 15 this month. 

Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid model where matches featuring India and one of the semifinals will take place in Dubai and the rest of the tournament will take place in Pakistan's Lahore, Rawalpindi and Karachi. The final of the marquee event will take place on March 9. The venue for final also depends on India's performance, if Rohit Sharma-led side qualifies for the title decider it will take place in Dubai, otherwise Pakistan will host the summit clash.
