Shubman Gill signs a new big deal.

He extends the legacy of Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli

The young player will now have an MRF sticker on his bat from the Champions Trophy semi-final match against Australia, adding another well-known brand to his already impressive portfolio. Gill will join a select group of endorsers that includes Virat Kohli and has a long history when he bats. It is believed that the paperwork has been finished, ending the right-hander's lengthy relationship with CEAT, who signed him when he was a member of the India U-19 team.

With agreements with Nike, Mercedes, Dior, Coca-Cola, Beats by Dre, Tata Capital, Bajaj Allianz, Casio, and My11Circle, Gill's brand game is booming at the age of 25. Since Gill was the first Indian athlete to serve as Apple's ambassador last year, the partnership for their Beats product was unprecedented in the ecosystem.

Gill is already linked to numerous high-end brands, and his stock is currently soaring because even advertisers have identified him as the face of the future. Since the right-hander was promoted to vice-captaincy in the series against Sri Lanka last year and continued to be Rohit Sharma's deputy for the Champions Trophy, charisma has only increased.

MRF's rich legacy with cricketers

Despite not being a cricket equipment brand at first, MRF ventured into producing bats and other equipment for players who would represent the brand. When they signed legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar in 1996, the brand had already achieved a significant level of popularity. This ended in September 2009. Legendary batter Virat Kohli currently plays for MRF as well. The company appears to be considering how long their well-known brand will last and sees promise in Gill's future in both international cricket and the IPL.

Athletes like AB de Villiers, Steve Waugh, Brian Lara, Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Gautam Gambhir, and Rohit Sharma have all represented MRF in the past in addition to Tendulkar and Kohli. As a result, Gill is the most recent athlete to promote the brand with its headquarters in Tamil Nadu.
