The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced India's under-19 squad against Australia Under-19 for the match match ODI series and two-day matches, which is scheduled to start from September 21. Ayush Mhatre will lead the side and Vihaan Malhotra will be his deputy. 

Mhatre will be confident after the England tour as the side is coming after winning the Youth ODI series 3-2, before the two-match Test series ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Mhatre was the highest run-getter in the Test series, scoring 340 runs in four innings with the help of two hundreds and a fifty. 14-year-old sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi dominated the charts in the ODI series, scoring 355 runs and registering the fastest known century in the history of Youth ODIs.

Vihaan, who will be Mhatre's deputy in Australia, was one of the key performers in both formats on the tour to England, tallying 243 and 277 runs in the ODI and Test series, respectively.
