India defeated England in a five-match series by a commanding margin of 4-1.

India consolidated their pole position on the World Test Championship (WTC) standings.

Former India cricketer and legendary batter, Virender Sehwag launched a scathing attack on England and criticised their 'Bazball madness' after India won five-match series by a comprehensive margin of 4-1. Sehwag reiterated that there should be a 'method to madness' and the Three Lions 'looked clueless' after winning the first Test match in Hyderabad. Sehwag also noted that England captain Ben Stokes 'failing miserably' only increased the problems for the visitors.

"Bazball , Batti Gull. There needs to be a method to madness. England simply didn’t have the game to match and looked clueless particularly after the second test match," Sehwag said in a tweet on X (formerly Twitter).

"The captain (Ben Stokes) failing miserably only added to their woes and they simply looked like living in an illusion . For this method to succeed, there needs to be a method to madness, which England severely lacked," he added.
