Abhishek Sharma becomes 1st player in the World to taste this historic feat after 135-run blitzkrieg vs England in 5th T20I

Abhishek Sharma delivered a blistering performance in the fifth T20I against England at Wankhede Stadium. His explosive batting, culminating in a magnificent 37-ball century, saw him shatter numerous records.

This century marked Abhishek Sharma's second international ton. His 17-ball fifty contributed significantly to India's record-breaking powerplay score of 95 runs. Sharma's relentless attack continued, as he smashed 10 sixes en route to a brutal hundred, propelling India to a mammoth total of 247/9.  Adding to his all-around performance, he also chipped in with two wickets, playing a key role in India's dominant 150-run victory over England.

Abhishek Sharma's century was the second-fastest by an Indian in T20Is, following Rohit Sharma's 35-ball hundred against Sri Lanka.  It also ranks as the fourth-fastest overall, behind centuries from Sikandar Raza (33 balls), David Miller (35 balls), and Rohit Sharma (35 balls).  Sharma's innings concluded with a score of 135 runs off 54 balls.

Abhishek Sharma achieved another milestone by becoming the first player globally to score a T20I century against England in under 40 balls.  Previously, the record for the fastest T20I hundred against England was held by Aaron Finch, who reached his century in 47 balls.

Abhishek Sharma not only scored a century but also broke the joint record held by Rohit Sharma and Sanju Samson for the most sixes hit by an Indian in a T20I innings.  His 13 sixes surpassed their record by three.  Furthermore, Abhishek's innings surpassed Shubman Gill's record for the highest individual score by an Indian in a T20I match.
