Hardik Pandya can surpass Yuzvendra Chahal on this list during T20I series against England

The five-T20I series between India and England is set to begin on January 22. India's fast-bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya will return to international action and will have a chance to become India's highest wicket-taker in T20Is against England. Here is a list of top five wicket-takers in India versus England T20I encounters over the years -
 

5. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh, injured left-arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and out-of-favour pace-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur have eight wickets each against England in the format. England's fast bowler Jofra Archer has 8 wickets from 6 T20Is and can move up the table.
 

4. India's injured pacer Jasprit Bumrah and out-of-favour pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar have taken 9 wickets each against India. England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has taken 9 wickets from 13 T20Is against India. Rashid can surpass Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar as the pace duo are not part of the series.

1. The top spot belongs to England's Chris Jordan who has 24 wickets from 16 games against India at an average of 23.79 including a four-fer. Jordan is the second-highest T20I wicket-taker against India after New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi. 
 

Hardik Pandya also has a chance to move up on the list of leading wicket-takers against England in T20Is. West Indies' Jason Holder holds the top spot with 23 wickets followed by New Zealand's Mitchell Santner with 22 wickets. Also, Pandya needs 8 more wickets to surpass Chahal on the list of India's leading wicket-takers in the format. Arshdeep Singh (95 wickets) is likely to become India's first bowler to take 100 T20I wickets.
