Pakistan captain Shan Masood led his team to a well-deserved 2-1 series victory over England. This series win marked a significant achievement for Pakistan, as they hadn't won a Test series at home in three years.

Pakistan's stunning Test series win over England

Pakistan's performance throughout the series was impressive, with both their batting and bowling units contributing significantly. After a disappointing loss in the first Test, they bounced back strongly to win the next two matches and clinch the series.

After facing criticism for his leadership, Shan Masood finally had a reason to celebrate as Pakistan secured a crucial Test series victory over England. The team's impressive comeback, after a heavy defeat in the first Test, was highlighted by a dominant performance in the second match, where they won by a margin of 152 runs.

In the final Test, Pakistan's bowlers, particularly Sajid Khan and Noman Ali, were instrumental in restricting England to a low total of 267 runs. In response, Saud Shakeel's century helped Pakistan post a substantial total of 344 runs, taking a significant lead.

Ramiz Raja directs absurd questions towards Shan Masood

Following Pakistan's series win over England, Shan Masood engaged in a conversation with former cricketer Ramiz Raja. However, the interaction took a surprising turn as Raja's questioning of Masood's captaincy abilities raised eyebrows.

Raja inquired about the team's recent string of six consecutive defeats, seemingly implying that the series win might be a one-off occurrence. This pointed questioning from a former player towards the current captain sparked discussion and debate among cricket fans.

"Personally for you, even as a captain, you must be extremely relieved because there were six losses in a row and it's very easy to" asked another broadcaster.

"How did you achieve this? Six losses in a row? It's very easy to get into a hole. Even after trying." asked Ramiz Raja

"Ramiz bhai, we needed this win, the nation needed this win and I'm really happy that Pakistan won." replied Shan Masood.

Following Pakistan's series victory, captain Shan Masood expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance. He highlighted the quality of Pakistan's batting and bowling units, which played a crucial role in their success.

Masood also discussed his leadership role, emphasizing that it comes with the responsibility of guiding the team to victory. He emphasized that the series win was a collective effort and a source of pride for the entire nation.

"We have quality in our batting and bowling, the depth is there. I've always said that we need to take 20 wickets to win a Test and that's what we achieved here. The job comes with responsibility (on captaincy). It's heartening to have young talents like Saim and Hurraira coming up, and seniors like Noman coming back into the set-up after a long time," Masood further stated

"We've had a lot of positives with the bat, Saud and Salman are growing as leaders. This series win is for the people of Pakistan who have suffered a lot with us, I am thankful for the English team; the contests between the two teams are always memorable, and I wish we play more, possibly a 5-match series," he concluded.
