In the wake of India's disappointing loss to Australia in the ODI World Cup 2023 final match on November 19, Shubman Gill's grandfather, Didar Singh Gill, came up with a stunning remark as he warned Pat Cummins' men by saying that the defeat will be avenged in the future.
"There was a lot of expectation from Team India but it could not live up to that expectation. There are many shortcomings which need to be removed. No matter what, this defeat will be avenged in the future. The match remained one-sided," Gill's grandfather said, as quoted by Economic Times. Notably, Didar Singh's grandson, who was playing his first World Cup, failed to big in the World Cup final as he was dismissed for just four runs.
