Haris Rauf's outing only went from bad to worse as he was taken to the cleaners in the 21st over.

Pakistan's premier pacer Haris Rauf was spotted screaming at his teammate Iftikhar Ahmed for a lackluster effort on the field during the ODI World Cup match against Sri Lanka on October 10 (Tuesday) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The moment transpired after Rauf bowled the last delivery of the 14th over when Kusal Mendis opened his bat face and timed the ball towards the third-man region.

Iftikhar, who was stationed at the third-man fence, had to cover some distance to his right which gave the Sri Lankan batter time to run two runs between the wicket. Rauf was unimpressed with Iftikhar and he let him know by screaming loudly in frustration. It is important to note that emotions and frustration ran high in the Pakistan camp as they were hit for plenty of runs by the Lankan batters.

Rauf's outing only went from bad to worse as he was taken to the cleaners in the 21st over. Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama combined to smash the Pakistan speedster for 20 runs in the over. Both Sri Lankan batters smoked a six each in the over and Rauf looked clueless and perplexed by the explosiveness of the opposition batters. After bowling his first five overs, Rauf leaked 45 runs and failed to bag even a single wicket.

Meanwhile, Mendis played one of the finest knocks in ODI cricket this year and completed a stupendous century. The stylish right-handed batter scored 122 runs off just 77 balls with the help of 14 fours and six sixes. He registered a strike rate of 158.44.

Earlier in the day, Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka won the toss and elected to bat first. It proved to be an awesome decision as his batters played some glorious shots put their team in the driver's seat.
