Amidst the happiness of Australia's World Cup title triumph, an awkward moment occurred on stage during the presentation ceremony when captain Pat Cummins was seen standing alone with the trophy. After being presented with the coveted cup by India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, Cummins found himself isolated as the two dignitaries exited the stage.

Cummins, caught off guard, smiled sheepishly as he watched the leaders greet his teammates, patiently waiting for his team to join him in the celebratory moment. Finally, the rest of the Australian squad made their way onto the stage, breaking the awkward silence and allowing Cummins to share in the joyous occasion.
The incident quickly gained traction on social media, with many users commenting on the amusing yet slightly uncomfortable situation. While some expressed sympathy for Cummins, others found humor in it.
The awards ceremony itself was also marred by delays. The trophy presentation took place over an hour after Glenn Maxwell hit the winning runs, and many of the 90,000-strong crowd had already left the stadium by the time the formalities began.

Opting to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19, India made a promising start. Rohit Sharma unleashed a flurry of boundaries before being dismissed by Glenn Maxwell for 47 runs off 31 balls. Despite Sharma's early dismissal, India managed to post a total of 240 runs on the board. KL Rahul emerged as the top scorer for India with a patient knock of 66 runs off 107 balls, while Virat Kohli chipped in with 54 runs off 63 deliveries. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the Australian bowlers, claiming 3/55, while Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood picked up two wickets each. In reply, Australia's chase was spearheaded by a stunning batting display from Travis Head. Head scored an unbeaten 137 runs off 120 balls riding on four sixes and 15 boundaries. He forged a crucial 192-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Marnus Labuschagne (58 off 110), rescuing Australia from a precarious 47/3 to a commanding victory. Travis Head was named player of the match for his match-winning knock while Virat Kohli was named player of the tournament.
This was the second time Australia defeated India in the ODI World Cup final.
