India notched their sixth victory on the trot in the ongoing ODI World Cup.

Team India had the last laugh in the low-scoring affair against England as Rohit Sharma's brigade rocked the defending champions by 100-run at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, October 29.

Put to bat first Indian batters were fairly tested by English bowlers which saw them posting a paltry total on the board. It was Rohit Sharma, who rose to the occasion and scored a fighting 87 off 101. His knock was well complemented by Suryakumar Yadav's impressive 49 off 47 and KL Rahul's 39 off 58 which helped India post 229 runs on the board for England to chase. But little did England batters know that Indian bowlers will come all guns blazing to dismantle their star studded batting. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav ran through the England's batting line-up to script India's comeback which left the visitors gasping.

But then came a moment which gave the Indian cricket fans a perfect treat. Virat Kohli was seen hugging Rohit Sharma a passionate hug while celebrating England's wicket.

The golden moment came when the dangerous looking Shami sent Moeen Ali packing in his first delivery of his second spell in 24th over. Moeen returned to the hut after scoring 15 off 31 balls. But what happened next set the internet ablaze.

The pumped up Kohli hugged and lifted skipper Rohit in the air and the clip immediately went viral on the social media with many fans terming it a ‘beautiful moment’

India folded England to lowly 129 to record an easy 100-run win, thanks to Mohammed Shami's brilliant 4/22, Jasprit Bumrah's 3/32 and Kuldeep Yadav's 2/24. India's victory meant defending champions are knocked out of the tournament which also ensured Men in Blue's entry in the World Cup 2023's semifinals.

Despite the star studded side, none of the England's player posed a threat to India. From Buttler (10 off 23) to the likes of Dawid Malan (16 off 17), Joe Root (0 off 1), Ben Stokes (0 off 10), Moeen Ali (15 off 31), Liam Livingstone (27 off 46), everyone disappointed with their performances. This was England's fifth loss in a total of six matches in the ongoing ODI World Cup.

India will next face Sri Lanka on November 2 while England will be up against Australia on November 4.
