The ODI World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday faced a disruption when a pitch invader donning a T-shirt with 'Stop Bombing Palestine' on the front and 'Free Palestine' on the back, ran onto the pitch and tried to embrace India batter, Virat Kohli.

The incident took place in the 14th over of the match, when Adam Zampa was bowling to the star batter.
Wearing a white T-shirt and red trousers, the pitch intruder took the chance to approach Virat Kohli during his partnership with KL Rahul in the ODI World Cup 2023 final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Despite the interruption, security swiftly apprehended the intruder.

Virat Kohli and KL Rahul appeared to be displeased as they were building a partnership following the dismissals of captain Rohit Sharma (47) and KL Shreyas Iyer (4). The intruder, sporting a Palestine mask in addition to the message on his T-shirt, both on the front and back, and the flag that he was carrying.
In India's first match of the ODI World Cup 2023 against Australia in Chennai, social media influencer Daniel Jarvis, known as Jarvo, made headlines by invading the pitch.
Jarvo, notorious for his actions on the pitch, previously disrupted an India Test match in England, donning an Indian jersey. Following his pitch invasion in the World Cup, the International Cricket Council (ICC) banned Jarvo from attending future games in the tournament. Security officials at the MA Chidambaram Stadium turned him over to the police, leading to the cancellation of his visa.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma made a bright start as he has been in the ongoing ODI World Cup, scoring 47 off 31 balls. Despite the early loss of Shubman Gill, India maintained their aggressive approach with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli taking on the Australian bowlers.
However, Glenn Maxwell made a significant breakthrough, dismissing Rohit in the 10th over with a sensational catch by Travis Head. Shreyas Iyer had a brief stint, scoring only four runs before being dismissed by Cummins.
