'I’m not Haris Rauf’s son': Netherlands cricketer slaps back at Pakistan trolls ahead of T20 World Cup 2024

Netherlands' star cricketer Paul van Meekeren has finally hit back the Pakistan fans trying to troll him for the verbal spat with Haris Rauf in ODI World Cup 2023.

Netherlands' star cricketer Paul van Meekeren hit back at the Pakistan fans trying to troll him by calling him Haris Rauf's son. The Dutch cricketer has been on the target of Pakistan fans since the recently concluded ODI World Cup 2023, where Paul had a little fiery interaction with Rauf before the Pak pacer dismissed him.

Paul van Meekeren came up with a soft and subtle reply to a fan calling him Haris Rauf's son. He has been hearing this a lot and would like to clarify who his real father is and if this doesn't solve their confusion they can reach out with their questions.

“Since the last 50 over World Cup I’ve had many people say this… I just wanna clarify that I’m not Haris Raif’s son, my dad is actually, funnily enough, also called Paul (Adriaan) van Meekeren!! I hope this solves any confusion… if not please reach out with your questions,” Paul van Meekeren tweeted from his official ‘X’ account replying to a Pakistan fan.

Paul van Meekeren and Haris Rauf to clash again in T20 World Cup 2024?

 

Both Paul van Meekeren and Haris Rauf are part of their respective T20 World Cup 2024 squad but are also placed in different groups. Both teams won't be competing against each other in the first stage of the mega tournament. 

 

To face each other, both teams will have to qualify to the Super 8 stage where a potential Super 8 clash between Pakistan and Netherlands is possible. Currently, the Men in Green are competing in England in a four-match series to prepare for the marquee event and the Dutch side faced Ireland and Scotland in a tri-series.
