With more than 400 sixes in the tournament the T20 World Cup 2021 came to an end on Sunday as Aaron Finch-led Australia secured their maiden T20 title. A total of 14 sixes were hit in the high-scoring final taking the overall tally to 405 sixes for the tournament. While batters struggled to post big targets in majority of matches, there were few batters who dispatched the ball more often in the crowd and entered the list of top six-hitters of the tournament.

Jos Buttler (13)

13 sixes in the tournament, Jos Buttler was one of the reason why England registered four consecutive wins in the group stage. The majority of his sixes off the wicketkeeper-batter's bat came against Sri Lanka during his unbeaten 101 in Sharjah. The English wicketkeeper had the best average in the tournament with 89.66 and carried the bat on three occasions. He ended the tournament with 269 runs from six appearances, the highest for an England batter.

Mohammad Rizwan (12 )

With 12 sixes, the Pakistan opener was at this best in the tournament. When defending targets in dew was a major issue in the tournament, Pakistan proved they were formidable both while chasing and defending the totals. While Babar Azam did the damage from one end his partner in crime Mohammad Rizwan gave nightmares to the opposition at the other end. Rizwan played in the semi-final despite spending two nights in the ICU and hit four sixes against Australia during his 67-run knock in Dubai.

David Wiese (11 )

Weise may not have had a high profile presence but the Namibia star was at his attacking best with 11 sixes in the tournament. The former South African all-rounder's tally included both qualifiers and group stage encounters. He was instrumental in the role of finisher getting his team into the Super 12 stage.

David Warner (10 )

Warner was the man who peaked at the right time of the tournament. Three sixes in the final during his half-century against the Kiwis meant that he ended with 10 sixes to his name. The southpaw was not in the best of forms before the tournaments but ended up with 289 runs from seven innings and the ‘Man of the tournament’ award.

Mitchell Marsh (10 )

Mitchell Marsh justified team management's decision to promote him up the order over Steve Smith. His tally of 77 not out was the turning point in the final. The all-rounder started his inning with a six off Adam Milne and hit three more in his unbeaten 77-run knock. He ended up with 10 sixes in the tournament and was also adjudged ‘Man of The Match’.
