Saturday's high-voltage match of the Under-19 World Cup 2022 final between India and England was ultimately won by the Yash Dhull-led side. Dhull and his boys proved that their future is bright by establishing their supremacy first with the ball and then with the bat.

As soon as the Indian U-19 team clinched the trophy, BCCI Chief Secretary Jay Shah immediately made an announcement by tweeting, that he has decided to reward the players. Shah said that he would reward each and every player with Rs 40 lakh and the support staff with Rs 25 lakh.
"I'm pleased to announce the reward of 40 lacs per player and 25 lacs per support staff for the U19 #TeamIndia contingent for their exemplary performance in #U19CWCFinal. You have made India proud," Jay Shah wrote on Twitter.
While talking about Indian team’s victory in the final, Shah congratulated the Indian team members and called the victory as “very very special.”
“Congratulations #BoysInBlue on winning the @ICC U19 World Cup. This is a Very Very Special @VVSLaxman281 win against all odds. Each of our youngsters has shown the heart and temperament needed to make history in these trying times #INDvENG #U19CWCFinal,” Shah tweeted.
In the match
In the final match, England batted first and registered a total of 189 runs in 44.5 overs. For England their batsman James Raw played a crucial knock of 95 runs to help his side in reaching a respectable total. India’s Raj Bawa produced a terrific bowling display to pick up five wickets and he was well supported by Ravi Kumar as he took four wickets.
In reply, India reached the target with balls remaining and losing six wickets.
