The previous hosts of the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup were Bangladesh. With the political turbulence in the country, the tournament had to be shifted to the UAE. Ten teams will compete for the title in the tournament's forthcoming edition. Australia is the defending champion going into the competition. They are also the most successful side in the Women’s T20 World Cup history with six trophies.

Australia will be attempting to defend their title for a record fourth time after winning the previous three editions in a row. Alyssa Healy will head the Australian camp in the major event. In the 2020 edition, India advanced to the Women's T20 World Cup final once more. They lost the match to Australia by 85 runs in the Melbourne Cricket Ground final. Now, the Indian team captained by Harmanpreet Kaur will try to lead the Indian women to victory this time. Australia and England will compete fiercely against India at the event.
