5. In 2001, India chased down a target of 264 with 7 wickets in hand. Captain Sourav Ganguly remained unbeaten for 98 in the run chase. He had support from Rahul Dravid who scored 75. Sanath Jayasuriya's side lost the Test in Kandy on Day 4.

4. In 2011, half-centuries from Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman helped India chase down 276 with 5 wickets in hand in Delhi against West Indies. Laxman remained unbeaten for 58 in the run chase. Earlier, Pragyan Ojha and R Ashwin bagged their respective six-fers in first and second innings.

At the iconic Gabba, Brisbane, Shubman Gill's 91 and Cheteshwar Pujara's patient 56 was followed by Rishabh Pant's unbeaten 89 as India chased down 328 and clinched a three-wicket win and the series win. In 2021, a depleted Indian squad outplayed Pat Cummins' Australia and breached the Gabba fortress.

Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath scored centuries whereas Mohinder Amarnath contributed with an 85-run knock. Brijesh Patel's unbeaten 49 led India to a 6-wicket win over West Indies in Port of Spain.
