India's bowler Jasprit Bumrah bowls in the nets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne on December 24, 2024, ahead of the fourth cricket Test match between Australia and India starting December 26.

Highlights:

Jasprit Bumrah picked up 21 wickets in three Tests of BGT 2024-25.

Bumrah is currently in Melbourne preparing for fourth Test match scheduled to take place at MCG.

India vs Australia fourth Test match will start from December 26.

Rohit Sharma-led India are currently in Melbourne preparing for the upcoming fourth Test match against Australia which is scheduled to start from December 26. The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne will witness the high-voltage clash of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

Ahead of the much-awaited clash, Australian media was recently involved in several off-the-field controversies. Firstly, Former India captain Virat Kohli was labelled a 'bully' after he confronted a local journalist for filming his kids without his permission when he reached Melbourne for the fourth Test. The 35-year-old batter is facing a lot of heat by Australia since then.

A day after Virat Kohli's incident, India speedster Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja were also targetted by local media in Melbourne ahead of the fourth Test.

This happened when Jadeja and Akash refused to have a conversation in English on Saturday. Now, Australia's veteran presenter, Ian Maurice, has accused Bumrah with suspect bowling action.

Maurice also lashed out at the Australian media for not putting Bumrah's action under a microscope.

"Why has no one questioned the delivery of India paceman Bumrah? Is it not politically correct these days? I'm not saying he's throwing but at  least the position of the arm at the point of delivery should be  analyzed. Nine would have had it under the  microscope some years ago," Maurice wrote on X.

"I wish you people who want to jump down my throat would bother to read what I wrote. I said "I'M NOT SAYING HE'S THROWING ... but his action should be analyzed...that's all!," he added.

Bumrah is currently in the form of his life as the speedster is almost unplayable by Baggy Greens. He picked up 21 wickets in the first three Test matches two fifers and one four-wicket haul against Australia and now the speedster will look to repeat the same in fourth Test at MCG.

As the third Test match between India vs Australia ended in a draw, the five Test match series is currently levelled at 1-1. Both India and Australia will look to win the upcoming series to confirm their berth in World Test Championship (WTC) final which will take place in England next year.
