Indian captain Rohit Sharma breaks silence on Mohammed Siraj's on-field heated exchange with Australia batter Travis Head during the Adelaide Test. The incident took place when Siraj gave a fiery send-off to Head after dismissing him in the pink-ball Test.
Rohit backed Siraj saying that he knows what he needs to do for the team. The Indian skipper also said that these things are common when two competitive teams face each other.
"I don't know what was the talk but when the two competitive teams are playing each other - these things happen, I don't think we need to look too much on it, it's part of the game," said Rohit in Post match conference.
Rohit also admitted that there is a thin line between aggression and 'over aggression' and as a leader, he will have to make sure that no one crosses the line.
"There is a thin line between getting aggressive and over-aggressive and it is my job as captain to see that no one crosses the line. But a few words can be exchanged. Siraj knows what he needs to do for the team and he will do everything required. Siraj knows what to do. As a captain it's my responsibility to back them. He loves to be in the game" added Rohit.
Mohammed Siraj and Travis Head exchange

After getting hit for a four and a six in his first over with the new ball Siraj managed to get Head's wicket as he bowled a yorker and the Australia star got out after scoring 140 runs. After getting his wicket, Siraj gestured towards the dressing room. Head, in turn, spun around and gave his reaction.
