India's legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has cautioned Indian team management to refrain from last moment changes in their ODI World Cup 2027 blueprint. He feels that long-term squad stability will be crucial if India are to lift ODI World Cup 2027. Speaking to Cricinfo, the 2011 Player of the Series warned against the pitfall of late, drastic roster changes, a misstep he feels has derailed past campaigns. With 50-over fixtures becoming increasingly scarce in the T20 era, he urged management to lock in a core pool of 16 to 20 players immediately and guarantee them consistent match time, backing them through both victories and setbacks to build unwavering belief ahead of the tournament.

"Every time India have faltered is when they've made some massive changes at the last moment or in the tournament. So I think it's important that we stick to a team that we believe can lift the 2027 World Cup and stick by those guys whether they fail or succeed till that moment. Belief in the squad is very important," Yuvraj told Cricinfo.

Pointing to India's recent white-ball blueprint, Yuvraj highlighted the team's historical success when maintaining squad continuity.
